Nani looks set for Euro 20million move to Monaco

Nani is reportedly poised to quit Manchester United and join big-spending Monaco in a £20million deal, and if Nani leave Moyes will have close to £80m of a transfer budget to splash on new signings before the new campaign begins.

David Moyes sees the 26 year old as surplus to requirements and clearly the former Sporting Lisbon man has played a limited role in recent seasons and Nani started just seven Premier League matches last term and the arrival of Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace may well further lessen his involvement.

Nani, 26, was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon and has scored 39 goals in 215 appearances for United, but last season he made just seven starts and scored once in the Premier League.

Moyes will no doubt be sitting down to analyse potential areas of weakness in his squad ahead of inevitable purchases as the former Everton boss will be more than aware that even though he has inherited a Premier League title winning squad there is certainly scope for improvements.

Moyes, meanwhile, is bringing chief scout Robbie Cooke with him from Everton as he continues to overhaul his
backroom staff.
